Don't forget that a great place to start looking for discounts is your local military installation.

Bear Mountain Resort in Southern California offers active personnel and families 25% off ticket window rate for one day lift tickets.
Beaver Creek Ski Resort in Colorado offers Military Epic Passes, including $149 for active duty, retired military and dependents, as well as $549 for veterans and their adult dependents.
Big Bear Mountain Resort in Southern California offers active personnel and families 25% off ticket window rate for one day lift tickets.
Breckenridge Ski Resort in Colorado offers Military Epic Passes, including $149 for active duty, retired military and dependents, as well as $549 for veterans and their adult dependents.
Camelback Mountain Resort in Pennsylvania offers discounted tickets to active military, up to 4 card-carrying dependents and veterans with a valid DD-214.
China Peak in California offers military personnel, including active, retired, veteran and military dependents discounted all day lift tickets, valid any day, including holidays.
Crotched Mountain in Southern New Hampshire offers active duty military members, retired military, spouses and dependents a discount of 40% on midweek skiing, 25% on weekends and holiday periods.
Crystal Mountain in Michigan offers $15 off on Saturday and Peak Periods, as well as 50% off midweek (Sunday-Friday).
Diamond Peak, located in northern Lake Tahoe, offers military discounts that include free mid-week/non-peak lift tickets and $79 weekends/$89 peak lift tickets for active duty military. Retired military and dependents get $69 lift tickets ($79 weekends/$89 peak lift tickets).

Dodge Ridge, near Pinecrest, California, offers active duty a military discount. Adult (ages 20-64) all day lift tickets are $65 and teens (ages 18-19) are $50.
Eagle Point in Utah offers a 15% discount to active duty military on lift tickets.
Grand Targhee Resort located in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest in Alta, Wyoming offers active duty military a full-day regular lift ticket for $45, holiday lift tickets for $45, and half day regular/holiday tickets for $45.
Heavenly Ski Resort in South Lake Tahoe offers Military Epic Passes, including $149 for active duty, retired military and dependents, as well as $549 for veterans and their adult dependents.
Homewood Mountain Resort, located on the west shore of Lake Tahoe in the state of California, offers active duty military free non-peak lift tickets and 50% off day tickets on holidays. Spouses and children can also receive 50% off day lift tickets if they come with their service member.
Hunter Mountain in New York offers active duty military members, retired military, spouses and dependents a discount of 40% on midweek skiing, 25% on weekends and holiday periods.

At Killington Resort in Vermont all active duty, retired and honorably discharged military members can get a free Killington Express Card. This card gets you 50% off midweek and 25% off weekend/peak day ticket rates.
Monarch Mountain in Colorado offers a discounted military season pass ($199) with the benefits of regular season pass ($479).
Mount Snow in Vermont offers active duty, retired and honorably discharged members of the military a free Military Discount Card when showing proper ID. This card entitles them to 40% off midweek/non-holiday window rate lift tickets and 25% off weekend/holiday window rate lift tickets.
Mt. Shasta Ski Park in California offers a $30 lift ticket any day of the week with a military ID.
Okemo Mountain Resort in Vermont offers active-duty and retired military, as well as their immediate family, discounts on lift tickets.
Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort, located in California south of Lake Tahoe, offers active duty military free skiing or riding on Sundays.
Ski Butternut in Massachusetts offers military discounts on lift discounts, equipment and group lessons.
Snow Summit in California offers active military and dependents with valid ID discounts for 1-day lift tickets.
Snowshoe Mountain Resort in Snowshoe, West Virginia offers military 20% off for single-day lift tickets and 3-day tickets with military ID (except holidays).
Snowy Range in Wyoming offers military discounts on half day, one day and multi-day lift tickets.

Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows in California offers active duty military a season pass. The cost of the season pass is a $50 donation that will support the organization Military to the Mountains, a program of the High Fives Foundation.
Sugarloaf Mountain Resort in Maine offers military personnel a discount of $10 off lift ticket rates.
Vail Ski Resort in Colorado offers Military Epic Passes, including $149 for active duty, retired military and dependents, as well as $549 for veterans and their adult dependents.
Wildcat Mountain in New Hampshire offers active duty military members, retired military, spouses and dependents a discount of 40% on midweek skiing, 25% on weekends and holiday periods.

This amazing activity is one of the many programs organized by High Fives. This is a charity that organizes workout groups for disabled veterans. The founder is Roy Tuscany, an up-and-coming pro freeskier until a bad crash left him paraplegic in 2006. He teamed up with David Vabara, an injured NFL player who ran a gym for disabled peoples, to organize a yearly disabled veterans ski trip.
Many resorts offer veteran discounts, but none are as good as this. EpicPass is offering a $129 season pass for this season, Copper Mountain offered last seasons pass for $279, and most other resorts offer somewhere between 25% and 50% off regular day tickets. And there’s no better year to hop on the military discount pass for Squaw Alpine because the new Base to Base Gondola is finally expected to be approved by the US Forest Service. This will once and for all connect Squaw Valley with Alpine Meadows.
Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows is really going above and beyond in helping veterans. Hopefully, more resorts will match or even beat Squaw’s great deal. Not veterans related, but Angel Fire Resort of New Mexico just annouced that they are bringing back $99 teacher season passes!
